Happy World Teachers’ Day

Behind every profession, therr is always a great teacher. In line with this special day, I want to share to you my TOP 3 best professors in college.

1.) The tandem of Sir Emerson Aliswag & Sir TJ Nonog - For me, they are the best buddies ever! If I’m not mistaken, they have been friends since college. I’m excited to attend our review class in med-surg nursing because of them. They’re so cool. They enter the room with only whiteboard marker on-hand. They make use of over-head projector instead of powerpoint. On the spot pathophysiology is one of their expertise. Seriously, no joke! They make the topics more simple and incorporate humor. They will give you bunch of laughter and at the same time, KNOWLEDGE! Honestly, I miss them!

2.) Sir Dante Tan. I’d say he’s terror in a good way. He is clever! He was my clinical instructor when I was in my first year of college (second sem). I had good foundation of the nursing process. PROMISE! And now, he’s my professor
in our NCA-Research. If only I had given the chance to choose research adviser, I’ll choose him! It’s because I feel more safe and I’m confident that we (our group)can do better. If only… sigh. Anyway, I’m thankful ‘cause he can still recognize me and at the same time, feel so sorry for disappointing him in some way. I got low score in our research exam but passed! It’s difficult to pass the exam made by him. Sad to say, only 10 (not sure) out of 46 passed the exam.

3.) Ma’am Rebecca Guarino- She was my clinical instructor in our community rotation. She’s not only a teacher to us, but also mother. She gives advises and cares about us. She never shouts, rather she speaks with a soft voice and always smile.

I know, some of you may disagree. We have our own favorites, right? This is my list, you may have your own.

But, I want to tell you that all teachers are heroes. As they say “great professors do not fade away; they remain in the memory of greatful students.”

My Mental Age

I tried the application I downloaded few minutes ago. I want to find out if my mental age is equal to my chronological age. I answered some random questions and the result revealed that my mental age is 33.

“Your mental age is way older than your chronological age.
Psychological studies reveal that those people with a mental age superior to their chronological age have a higher IQ than average. You live your life and have a world vision that is wise beyond your years (and you are probably very smart), but we would definitely recommend adopting some youthful attitudes. If you incorporate them into your life you will be smart AND youthful.”
